Houston's Best Public & Airport Transportation

Houston makes it easier for both residents and visitors to get around: It was the first city in Texas to approve ride share services, and its public transportation system includes light rail and buses. Even its taxis offer low flat rates within the central business district. Other options include bike and car share, both allowing you to take control of your transportation needs.

Houston Airport Transportation Options

If you’re flying into George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), you have many options for getting to your hotel or final destination:

Shuttles: Hotels and off-site parking services operate complimentary shuttles to and from the airport.

Public transportation: METRO Bus 102 serves the airport and will take you to the METRO station in downtown Houston.

Taxis and ride share: Both taxis and ride share services are available at IAH outside the baggage claim areas. If you have requested a ride share pickup, follow the “Ride App” signs to the ride share area.
