Instaworthy views: Dallas

Instagrammable places in Dallas

To get the best views in Dallas, you’ll need to take an elevator. The Texas landscape around Dallas is mostly flat, but the downtown skyscrapers provide a way to get above the plains and look out on the Dallas Fort-Worth area. Just outside of Dallas are three sizable lakes, which can also serve up some fabulous summer photo ops and sunsets. For the best instaworthy views inside the city, make sure to check out:

Trinity Overlook Park

Gaze across the open plains of Texas with great views of the Dallas skyline. Just a quick pull-off of Commerce street, Trinity Overlook Park is best viewed at sunset and at night when the buildings of downtown Dallas are illuminated.

Trammell Crow Park

Get a slightly different angle of the Dallas skyline with soccer fields, bike paths, and plenty of benches to sit and watch the sunset. Trinity Overlook is technically within the larger Trammell Crow Park, which meanders along the Trinity River through downtown Dallas.

Reunion Tower

This 561ft observation deck is one of the most recognizable features of the Dallas skyline. The ball-shaped top floors have housed a radio station and most recently a Wolfgang Puck restaurant, but now simply functions as a great way to learn about the history of Dallas and get a birds-eye view of the city.

Waterproof

Looking to instill a little FOMO in your insta-feed? Waterproof is your place. This luxe urban oasis is a rooftop pool, bar, and restaurant with cabanas for rent. At night, the poolside transitions into a hip and classy bar with incredible views of downtown skyscrapers. Heads up: after 5pm there’s a dress code.

Klyde Warren Park

This northside park runs a bit on the small side compared to the others, but has a dog park, performance pavilion, playground, and splash fountain for kids to cool off in during the summer. The greenspace is a welcome change from the surrounding concrete. Probably not the best place for a skyline pic, but you’re sure to capture some authentic Dallas character and city life.
