Atlanta's Best Public & Airport Transportation

Visitors to Atlanta enjoy spending time in this historic city, which is now a major center of business and commerce. If you plan to be in town visiting friends and family, enjoying a vacation, or doing business, you’ll want to think about your transportation options.

Atlanta Airport Transportation Options

If you fly into Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), you’ll have several options for getting to your accommodations or destination once in town.

Shuttles: Hotels in off-site parking facilities offer complimentary shuttles that will take you to and from the airport.

Public transportation: The MARTA train system’s Red and Gold lines have a station inside the airport. Access them easily from the domestic terminal. If you arrive at the international terminal, the airport provides complimentary shuttle service so that you can reach the MARTA station.

Taxis and ride share: Taxis are available outside the baggage claim area. If you’ll be using a ride share service, such as Uber or Lyft, you can meet your driver in the North and South economy lots which are likewise near baggage claim. Airport management asks that ride share users only request their car once they have arrived at the parking lots.
